When the entertainment capital of the world meets the most watched telecast in U.S. TV history, the stakes for a high quality show are sure to be astronomical. So when Super Bowl LVIII bravely made its way to Las Vegas for the 2024 game, Frequency Pictures was there to elevate, capture, and enhance the game day experience for at home viewers, and Las Vegas visitors alike.
Frequency Pictures’ goal, alongside its partner, The Las Vegas Convention Center and Visitors Authority, was to cultivate the feel of a game day celebration, on, and off, the field.
The first task taken on by Frequency Pictures was rooted in an iconic Las Vegas tradition; taking photos at the historical “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign. Frequency Pictures created their own replicas of the sign, branded with super bowl branding, and mounted it in various locations across the city for all guests to enjoy. Sites included the Harry Reid International Airport, the Arch Bar at the Paris Hotel and Casino, and on site at the Allegiant stadium.
Next, Frequency Pictures attended various pre-game events to capture live interviews, footage and excitement of all the game fans. They were also tasked with a Las Vegas speed-run; shoot over 30 Vegas strip marquees displaying special Super Bowl branding, in under an hour. The shoot included over 12 crew members, extensive planning and a lot of coordinating. Simultaneously, Frequency Pictures also partnered up with intermountain Health and the NFL to capture mental health conversations with past and present NFL players, as part of a larger NFL charity donation campaign.
However, the team went into overtime when it came down to its biggest project for Super Bowl LVIII; an overall recap video of the entire week's worth of fun, celebration, and the big game itself.
Frequency Pictures worked around the clock to ingest, edit, and export footage as it was captured all week long. The overall recap video highlighted not only the legendary entertainment capabilities of Las Vegas, but also the brotherhood and community that comes along with any Super Bowl event.
